A couple years ago I felt this urge to go on a mini Vancouver Island road trip. With a few days off it was time to head on the road. With a large amount of rain expected I made sure to bring my rain gear and warm clothes. Also camping meant bringing my warmer sleeping bag as one of the nights was suppose to dip pretty quickly into freezing temperatures.
Day one was driving down towards Port Renfrew, staying about 45 minutes outside in the woods. Was wanting to be fully immersed with the giants and seeing them in there glory of a rains torm was simply magical.
Headed down to Victoria for a quick explore around, see some sights and back upwards towards Duncan for the night. I woke up to snow! From enjoying the snow for a bit I headed towards Cathedral Grove, a stunning place directly off the road with old growth.
Have a thing about exploring color quite heavily, especially as you'll see in the first image.
