Architectural & Design Photographer

Approach
Each space has a personality, and getting a deeper understanding of what you created and how a place is designed and built to feel is important piece of the puzzle to figure out what needs to be done to make that feeling a reality.

I like to arrive early to shoots, having that extra time to make sure when the first light hits, that everything is properly composed and get the shot just right.

Also like to spend time observing light in a space, as it unfolds I find each space can feel so different with these shifts, and being able to capture those moments is I feel an important step to the process.

I offer three shoots:
A mini shoot - 2.5 hrs, this is great if you need a small handful of dedicated images
Half-Day - 5 Hours - Perfect for mid-sized projects
Full Day - 8 Hours - Great for large projects
The Process
My process is broken down below to give a sense of what working together will be like. Each dynamic is different happy with adjustments to navigate the right fit.

Shooting
Post-Production
The planning phase is an important process to allow a smooth shooting day.
-A phone conversation, or in person meetings about the project
-Creating a shot list
-Logistical planning

-Unedited images will be sent to you to select from
-Processing includes color correction, exposure adjustments, object removal

As a teenager I was obsessed with growing giant pumpkins. I would trade seeds from people around the world and be on online chatrooms talking genetics and ways to grow them.
There is a web-site I still go on from time to time that hasn't been changed since the 90s.
www.bigpumpkins.com - Definitely recommend a view.
Based on Vancouver Island in the Comox Valley. I find myself frequently in the Sea to Sky having lived in Whistler for 15 years and will travel anywhere for work. With experience in the adventure industry, I find myself very keen on unique locations.
I specialized in Architectural and Design Photography working with Interior Designers, Builders, Manufacturers, Architects, this list keeps going. I aim to bring a sense of personality into spaces.
Currently wanting to dive deeper into commercial photography photographing small businesses and artists find ways of storytelling to create imagery that connects them to the viewer.
Every shoot is a bit different. Various factors like creative scope, licensing, travel, the amount of companies within a project. Generally my fees range from $600 for small local projects to $8000 CAD for larger multi party architectural projects. Always happy to hop on a call and discuss your project.

Favorite Part of Your job?
Watching light unfold and collaborating on projects that have deep meaning and impact to the creator. There is something special designing a photoshoot that captures an aspect of how the person might feel in a space. Where along the photoshoot journey, the shifting light also has input on what needs to get captured and is a key element to the collaborative process.
