The Hemloft, a beautiful cabin in the woods of Whistler, British Columbia. This particular cabin was built by Joel Allen in Kadewood. Being one of the very first people to discover the cabin I became encapsulated to it's story. Built for the desire to create a beautiful piece of art from reclaimed wood. To find the cabin, he created a web-site which left very subtle clues to it's location.

Once winter arrived I had a friend who just arrived in Whistler and wanted to check it out. We arrived before anyone else with this remarkable soft dusting of snow over everything amongst the clouds. It was remarkably tranquil.

Architectural stunning pieces like this are what get me excited to photograph the next project. Big or small.

Snow-covered forest with a spherical wooden cabin suspended among trees. The scene is serene, with muted colors and soft light.
